The USRCCNE Monthly Newsletter
For those with interests bridging the US and Russia...
From Daniel Satinsky, President, USRCCNE
The focus of this month's newsletter is appropriately on the IT sector. It is appropriate for reasons both past and present. Roughly five years ago this month, our Chamber brokered a "Protocol of Agreement for Mutual Cooperation" between ourselves, software industry associations in New England and RUSSOFT, the software development association of Russia. Five years ago, few would have predicted that Russia would have one of the fastest growing IT sectors in the world.
Since then, we have periodically held important cooperative events involving the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, RUSSOFT and our Chamber. This April 17 will mark another opportunity for business development and cooperation through the MTLC's spring meeting "China, India, Russia – Our Partners in the New Global Economy." The Chamber has organized the Russia portion of the program and will welcome an important official Russian delegation, along with seven member companies of RUSSOFT. Our workshop in the afternoon portion of the program will highlight opportunities for Massachusetts companies through utilization of Russian software service companies and through sales of software products in the Russian market. I would like to urge anyone interested in IT and Russia to attend this conference. Registration information in the links provided in this newsletter.
As we mark the milestone of five years of cooperation with RUSSOFT and with the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, we look forward to continued cooperation and continued business opportunity in the IT sector.
As always, this newsletter is dependent on you. If you have an announcement or a news item to be included in our newsletter, or if you would like to subscribe to this free publication, please contact us.
