Our October/November newsletter covers a number of exciting developments in US-Russia relations, including some events taking place right here in New England. Among those is the First US-Russia Business Angel Symposium (Boston Regional Open Doors), which will be held at Babson College, in Wellesley, Massachusetts, on November 12. This first of its kind event is a collaborative effort among our Chamber, the Russian Venture Capital Association and Babson College, with the support of the US Civilian Research & Development Foundation. We'll look forward to providing you with an update about the Symposium and other Chamber news in next month's publication.

Auriga Champions Russian IT Outsourcing at European Conferences - Alexis Sukharev, Auriga's President and founder, spoke on the strengths of the Russian IT and software outsourcing industry at two European events aimed to stimulate cooperation between European companies and Russia.

Internet, Oct 30 - The U.S. Embassy in Moscow is pleased to announce a live Webchat with Consul General Kurt E. Amend. U.S. citizens resident in Russia are invited to ask questions regarding passports and visas, voting, and other emergency and non-emergency citizen services. Mr. Amend will also be pleased to answer questions regarding economic, political and cultural relations between the United States and Russia.

Moscow, Russia, Nov 8 - Customs Reform: Tool for Russia's Integration Into the World Market will address some of the major issues affecting international trade in this high-level and open-style forum. The event will also provide an opportunity for networking with over 150 participants.

USRCCNE logoAngel Investment Forum, Nov 12thWellesley, MA, Nov 12 - First Annual US-Russia Business Angel Symposium will provide a forum for Russia's leading business angels and technology entrepreneurs. This is a joint project of the US-Russia Chamber of Commerce of New England, the Russian Venture Capital Association, and Babson College. This all-day event will provide interactive training sessions, case studies, and networking opportunities with your Russian counterparts, led by a faculty of leading US and Russian business and legal experts and investors.

Moscow, Russia, Nov 16 - Alinga Consulting Group will present a breakfast seminar in English on Outsourcing in Russia: a Risk Management Tool.

New York, Nov 5 - Opportunities for US Companies in St. Petersburg and Northwest Russia will discuss the business climate, labor market, and legal environment for US companies operating in that region of Russia.
