USRCCNE Welcomes Chris King as Board Member
The US-Russia Chamber of Commerce (USRCCNE) welcomes our newest Board member, Chris King, who was unanimously elected at our Board meeting on May 29.
Chris King is the technology trade and investment officer for UK Trade and Investment at the British Consulate General in Boston. He has responsibility for encouraging, supporting and connecting emerging and mature technology companies from New England to the United Kingdom’s dynamic economy. Chris has over 15 years of progressive economic development and program management experience in the United States, United Kingdom and Russia. Prior to joining UK Trade and Investment, he was the East Coast business development representative for RSM Tenon. Chris led all business development functions and oversaw a portfolio of 100-plus potential and active projects at the seventh largest accountancy and business advisory firm in the UK. He also worked as the US business development director for South East England Development Agency, the UK’s largest region, where he identified, negotiated and secured the direct investment of 100 companies into the South East of England. Chris is a former director of economic development and advocacy at the Greater Manchester (NH) Chamber of Commerce, where he developed strategies of engagement with business stakeholders and elected officials at the local, regional and federal levels in order to advance the region’s prosperity. Chris lived and worked in Russia from 1998 to 2002, where he served as program director for the American Chamber of Commerce of Russia, encouraging and supporting Western investment into Russia. He also worked at Colliers International, where he was responsible for defining property strategies, consulting and commercial real estate advisory services for some the world’s leading brands investing in Russia. Chris is a past member of the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia and Junior Achievement Russia.
