At the IT roundtable Auriga Founder and President Alexis Sukharev presented a keynote entitled Combining the Strengths: Russia-India IT Cooperation, in which he expressed his views on the synergies between the Indias IT Superpower status and excellent global perception and the Russian companies advantageous position in the local and EU markets and Russias great human IT resources pool.

Dr. Sukharevs interest in the Indian IT industry is well-grounded: he co-authored a book on the subject and talked about prospects for IT cooperation between Russia and India in multiple articles and interviews in the top Indian and Russian newspapers and magazines, as well as at various international business events. Auriga has a longstanding experience of collaboration with India: joint projects with companies like Infosys, IT courses by professors of the International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT) of Pune in Moscow and Auriga trainers IT courses in Pune.

Mr. Harsh Manglik, the Chairman of NASSCOM, shared similar thoughts in the interview to Novaya Gazeta. According to Mr. Manglik, engineering services are one of the fields where an effective combined effort is possible: Russia has an excellent technology base and has a great potential in this field. I am impressed by the level of academic mathematics knowledge in your country. It is very important for new information technologies, for which analytics and research is crucial. - Mr. Manglik said. As for the reasons why India is interested in working with Russia, Mr. Manglik named Russias high talent and competency level, which can be helped by Indias experience, business models and methodologies, and expressed certainty that Russia and India will find ways of partnership in IT using their mutual history of cooperation in many other fields.
