Arrive Moscow on Saturday, April 28. Check in to 5-star hotel, shop at Izmailova bazaar, attend Bolshoi Ballet (new stage)
Sunday, April 29: Tour Red Square, Kremlin Museums. Take overnight flight to Tomsk.
Monday, April 30 to Friday, May 4:
Tour Tomsk, the “City of 1,000 Wooden Houses,” with l8th century architecture trimmed in fanciful, lacey carvings.
Take a boat ride along the Tom River, visit artist studios.
Tour the Siberian forest – the “lungs of the world.”
Site visit pulp mills and sawmills
The office of Tomsk Oblast Governor Kress will arrange meetings with business people who specialize in forest products to discuss investment opportunities.
Friday, May 4: Travel to Novosibirsk, fly to St. Petersburg
May 5: Tour the canals of St. Petersburg and visit the Hermitage, or take the hydrofoil to see the fountains and palace of Peterhof
May 6: Return to Boston
