Coalition for U.S.-Russia Trade Launches New Site
Coalition for U.S.-Russia Trade
Dear Council Member:
We are delighted to announce that the Coalition for U.S.-Russia Trade – a broad-based group of U.S. companies and trade associations from every major sector of the U.S. economy – has launched its website! We hope that this website will serve as your primary resource for the latest information regarding Russia’s WTO accession and the U.S.-Russia trade relationship.
Please visit the website at www.usrussiatrade.org.
We will continually be updating the website, as the Coalition for U.S.-Russia Trade will serve as the principal source in Washington, D.C. for information about the importance of Russia’s WTO accession to the U.S. manufacturing, services and agricultural sectors. At the appropriate time, the Coalition will lead the effort to support Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) status for Russia, which, as you know, will be necessary for U.S. companies, farmers and workers to enjoy the benefits of Russia’s eventual WTO accession and compete on a level playing field in the Russian market with their foreign counterparts.
As Secretariat for the Coalition, USRBC is already playing a key role in educating Members of the U.S. Congress and their staff on the thriving bilateral economic relationship and the opportunities that will be available to U.S. business as a result of Russia’s WTO entry. However, even with our wonderful organization behind us, your help is critical! We need a strong showing of U.S. companies and associations in this effort so that we can properly engage the 535 Members of Congress about your successes in the Russian market. In particular, we welcome any studies or data that you can share with us regarding U.S.-Russia trade and investment – either on a company-wide or industry-wide basis.
Please get involved today by signing up for Coalition membership. We attach a letter of invitation from our Coalition Co-Chairs that includes a membership enrollment form. We kindly ask that you return this form at your earliest convenience.
With warmest regards,
Eugene K. Lawson
