David Filipov has been a working journalist in Moscow for the past 12 years and was the Boston Globe Bureau Chief from 1996 to this spring. He has returned to the Boston headquarters of the Globe as Assistant Metro Editor. We have asked him to take a look back at his experiences in Russia and give us the benefit of his unique personal perspective.
