Just in time for Easter, explore the art, symbolism and joy in creating pysanky. Pysanky are Ukrainian Easter Eggs, decorated using beeswax and dyes that are applied in layers. No experience is necessary; all materials will be provided. (Please bring your own apron.) Each participant will create a unique and beautiful egg in this hands-on workshop. Instructor Karen Brouillette is a wife and mother of seven children. She has enjoyed the art of pysanky for over 10 years. Her passions include pysanky, monarch butterflies, iconography and home education. Instructor Susan Dow is a wife and mother of six children and home educator. She is an artist specializing in watercolor, but loves to create with any medium. Susan enjoys nature, reading and time in the garden. She has been decorating pysanky eggs for several years. Karen and Susan have taught pysanky workshops together throughout New England.
