We are pleased to invite you to a luncheon discussion with Igor Artemyev, Head of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of the Russian Federation, on November 10 at 12:30pm at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, DC.
Mr. Artemyev will discuss the implementation of Russia's Strategic Sector laws and planned amendments; Russian laws and regulations related to natural monopolies; foreign ownership of broadcast and media, the retail sector and the internet; and antitrust matters.
Igor Artemyev has served as Head of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of the Russian Federation since 2004. Previously, he headed the EPICenter-St. Petersburg economic and political research fund and served in the Russian State Duma, holding the positions of Vice Chairman of the Yabloko party and Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Credit Organizations and Financial Markets. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Artemyev served as Deputy Governor of St. Petersburg and Chairman of the city government's Finance Committee. Mr. Artemyev holds a degree in Biology from Leningrad State University and degree in Law from St. Petersburg State University.
