H.E. Mr. Vitaly I. Churkin, current Permanent Representative (Ambassador) of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, will speak, May 31st at 4 PM with a presentation on  Russian foreign policy.  Prior to assuming his ambassadorship to the UN, Mr. Churkin was Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation from 2003 - 2006.  He was his country's Ambassador to Canada from 1998 to 2003 and held a similar position as Ambassador to Belgium from 1994 to 1998.  He is currently the President of the United Nations Security Council.

Ms. Janna Bullock, a Russian economist, real estate investor and deeply committed patron of the arts, will speak on Saturday, August 30th at 4 PM about  how art can transcend cultures. She will present a business view of US and Russian relations and perspectives about art as a bridge between both cultures. Founder and president of RIGroup for more than 10 years, Ms. Bullock has completed signature restoration projects and acts as an investor, developer and builder in the US, France and Russia.  She was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation in June 2007 and was a member of the Leadership Committee for the Guggenheim's ground breaking exhibition, RUSSIA!  She was the International Leadership Chairman of the Russian National Orchestra's 15th Anniversary Spring Gala in New York in 2006.  According to David Mann, MR Architecture + Decor, "Janna Bullock has become a great patron of both historically important buildings and the work of contemporary architects."
